Zinc alloys (zinc casting)can be divided into four categories according to their composition: Zn Al system, Zn Cu system, Zn Pb system and Zn Pb al system.
Zn Al alloys(zinc casting) generally contain a small amount of Cu and Mg to improve strength and corrosion resistance.
Zn Cu alloys(zinc casting) generally also contain Ti, also known as Zn Cu Ti alloys. This alloy is a creep resistant alloy. Sometimes a small amount of Cr is added to further improve the creep resistance.
Zn Pb alloys(zinc casting) are generally used for punching battery shells, and can be made into various hardware and sports equipment.
Zn Pb Al alloys are used in zinc plating industry. In recent years, some people in the galvanizing industry advocate the abolition of Al and the simple use of Zn Pb alloy.
