What is the difference between Gravity Die Casting and Low Pressure Die Casting?

It is the biggest difference in how the molten metal is introduced into the cavities of Molds for low pressure die casting process and gravity die casting process.

In low pressure die casting process:

Aluminum water is kept in a shot chamber.

A hydraulic mechanism then slowly and smoothly-going pressure the metal into the cavities.

When the cavities are full, there are still enough pressure to maintain until solidified.

After that, the component is ejected from the mold. A low pressure die casting part is down

In Gravity Die Casting process:

The aluminum water is kept in the furnace for keeping degree

When mold is ready, it is poured from the top hole of the cavities by a vessel from furnace.

Gravity naturally pulls the aluminum water downward, allowing them to spread in the cavity.

After solidification, the mold was opened and part was removed off from mold. Now the gravity die casting part is finished.

So for your parts, we recommend low pressure die casting over gravity die casting.
